Message from the Chairman
Birganj a national hub for research and development. It is our attempt that Birganj can be recognized by its own identity and establish milestone for economic, social and cultural development. We are hopeful that the city Birganj has potential to be a leader in at least one or a few area(s) where national integrity can be established to raise the issues of common interest. I hope, all volunteers in the society are hard core nationalist which can be proved by their work. Decentralization of power in any democratic countries creates a feeling of satisfaction to all which ultimately helps in the progress of the nation by increasing prosperity and minimize unnecessary load on the capital city. We can take some lessons from our neighbouring countries. The capital of India is New Delhi, but when we talk for electronic city, that is Bangalore not New Delhi. The CCMB of Hyderabad is the leader in India in the field of Molecular Biology. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai is one of the leaders in atomic energy. Our neighbor country, China also likes decentralization of power. Dalian Software Park is situated in the western suburbs of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China. These are a few examples, but a number of examples can be put which exemplify the decentralization of powers and shows the broad view for the national interest.

SEM-Biotech is a non-profitable, non-governmental organization which has been established by the devoted volunteers of Birganj, Nepal under "Organization Registration Act 2034 B.S. of Nepal" with an objective to serve the whole country proving an opportunity to the resident of Birganj and neighbour districts to conduct research for the development of Nepal. This NGO also may serve the nation to conduct non-profitable projects given by the other INGO, NGO and/or Governmental offices.
Our team members are  most qualified in their fields of knowledge. The knowledge and expertise gained by our devoted volunteer members will be utilized for the construction of New Developed Nepal.

To conduct research projects using novel scientific techniques and tools to solve the problem of national interest and to pull in the concerned agencies.

To solve the environmental problems using biotechnological tools & techniques by utilizing volunteers and staffs of the society.

To generate skilled manpower by the help of training and workshop facilities to the students of schools and universities. To give awards, certificates and medals for their encouragement, if essential.

To conduct training time to time for disciplines, health & hygiene, scientific knowledge to the volunteers of the society also.

To achieve our goal, we are interested to coordinate among various other societies, organizations and agencies.

To make aware about the technological developments in recent scientific techniques all over world, conduct seminar in coordination with friendly countries and publish research journals in different areas of national and international interest.
